Oceans Reflected (2004)
With Oceans Reflected, Waclawik sought to make a site-specific sculpture that engages with the act of perception and abstraction. The two blue cubes are an abstract formulation of the horizon as seen over the ocean. The different planes of the cube represent formalised versions of the surfaces that reflect light from the ocean’s surface.
